15 We take no pride in the work others have done there. But we hope your faith will keep growing because of help from others. Then we will grow because of you. 16 We hope to preach the Good News in the countries on the other side of you. Then we would take no pride in work done by another person in another country. 17 If anyone wants to be proud, he should be proud of what the Lord has done.

15 Neither do we go beyond our limits(A) by boasting of work done by others.(B) Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow,(C) our sphere of activity among you will greatly expand, 16 so that we can preach the gospel(D) in the regions beyond you.(E) For we do not want to boast about work already done in someone else’s territory. 17 But, “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”[a](F)
