15 We do not boast beyond limit, in other men’s labors; but our hope is that as your faith increases, our field among you may be greatly enlarged, 16 so that we may preach the gospel in lands beyond you, without boasting of work already done in another’s field. 17 “Let him who boasts, boast of the Lord.”

15 Neither do we go beyond our limits(A) by boasting of work done by others.(B) Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow,(C) our sphere of activity among you will greatly expand, 16 so that we can preach the gospel(D) in the regions beyond you.(E) For we do not want to boast about work already done in someone else’s territory. 17 But, “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”[a](F)
