26 in journeyings often, in perils of rivers, in perils of robbers, in perils from my [a]countrymen, in perils from the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; 27 in labor and travail, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. 28 [b]Besides those things that are without, there is that which presseth upon me daily, anxiety for all the churches.

26 I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my fellow Jews,(A) in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city,(B) in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false believers.(C) 27 I have labored and toiled(D) and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food;(E) I have been cold and naked. 28 Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches.(F)
