2 Corinthians 13:8-10
Evangelical Heritage Version
8 To be sure, we can do nothing against the truth, but only for the truth. 9 Yes, we rejoice whenever we are weak and you are strong. And we are praying for your complete restoration. 10 It is for this reason that I am writing these things while I am still absent, so that, when I am present, I may not have to deal harshly with you, using the authority that the Lord gave me for building up and not for tearing down.

2 Corinthians 13:8-10
New International Version
8 For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth. 9 We are glad whenever we are weak(A) but you are strong;(B) and our prayer is that you may be fully restored.(C) 10 This is why I write these things when I am absent, that when I come I may not have to be harsh(D) in my use of authority—the authority the Lord gave me for building you up, not for tearing you down.(E)
