15 For we are a sweet savor of Christ unto God, in them that [a]are saved, and in them that [b]perish; 16 to the one a savor from death unto death; to the other a savor from life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? 17 For we are not as the many, [c]corrupting the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God, speak we in Christ.

15 For we are to God the pleasing aroma(A) of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.(B) 16 To the one we are an aroma that brings death;(C) to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task?(D) 17 Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit.(E) On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity,(F) as those sent from God.(G)
