4 They even asked and begged us to let them have the joy of giving their money for God's people. 5 And they did more than we had hoped. They gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us, just as God wanted them to do.
6 Titus was the one who got you started doing this good thing, so we begged him to help you finish what you had begun.

4 they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing(A) in this service(B) to the Lord’s people.(C) 5 And they exceeded our expectations: They gave themselves first of all to the Lord, and then by the will of God also to us. 6 So we urged(D) Titus,(E) just as he had earlier made a beginning, to bring also to completion(F) this act of grace on your part.
