2 Corinthians 9:9-11

⁹^(A) The Scriptures say,

“God freely gives his gifts
to the poor,
and always does right.”

¹⁰^(B) God gives seed to farmers and provides everyone with food. He will increase what you have, so you can give even more to those in need. ¹¹You will be blessed in every way, and you will be able to keep on being generous. Then many people will thank God when we deliver your gift.

⁹As it is written:

“They have freely scattered their gifts^(A) to the poor;
their righteousness endures forever.”^[a]^(B)

¹⁰Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food^(C) will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.^(D) ¹¹You will be enriched^(E) in every way so that you can be generous^(F) on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.^(G)
