²⁰ Yet it is better^[a] to come into these things,^[b] though incurring peril, than to pass from the world like a cloud and not to see what will happen in the last days.”

He answered me and said,^(A)

³³ For the righteous, who have many works laid up with you, shall receive their reward in consequence of their own deeds.^(A)

⁷ “It shall be that all who will be saved and will be able to escape on account of their works or on account of the faith by which they have believed^(A)

¹⁸ We know that those who are born of God do not sin, but the one who was born of God protects them, and the evil one does not touch them.^[a](A)

¹⁰ Because you have kept my word of endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.^(A)
