24 King Hazael of Aram died, and his son Ben-hadad(A) became king in his place. 25 Then Jehoash son of Jehoahaz took back from Ben-hadad son of Hazael the cities that Hazael had taken in war from Jehoash’s father Jehoahaz. Jehoash defeated Ben-hadad three times and recovered the cities of Israel.(B)

New International Version
24 Hazael king of Aram died, and Ben-Hadad(A) his son succeeded him as king. 25 Then Jehoash son of Jehoahaz recaptured from Ben-Hadad son of Hazael the towns he had taken in battle from his father Jehoahaz. Three times(B) Jehoash defeated him, and so he recovered(C) the Israelite towns.
