12 So when the king was come from Damascus, the king saw the altar: and the king drew near to the altar, and offered [a]thereon.
13 And he burnt his burnt offering, and his meat offering, and poured his drink offering, and sprinkled the blood of his peace offerings besides the altar.
14 And set it by the brazen altar which was before the Lord, and brought it in further before the house between the altar and the house of the Lord, and set it on the [b]North side of the altar.

- 2 Kings 16:12 Either offerings for peace or prosperity, or thanksgiving, as Lev. 3:1, or else meaning the morning and evening offering, Exod. 29:38, Num. 28:3, and thus he contemned the means and the altar which God had commanded by Solomon, to serve God after his own fantasy.
- 2 Kings 16:14 That is, at the right hand, as men went into to Temple.

New International Version
12 When the king came back from Damascus and saw the altar, he approached it and presented offerings[a](A) on it. 13 He offered up his burnt offering(B) and grain offering,(C) poured out his drink offering,(D) and splashed the blood of his fellowship offerings(E) against the altar. 14 As for the bronze altar(F) that stood before the Lord, he brought it from the front of the temple—from between the new altar and the temple of the Lord—and put it on the north side of the new altar.
