^15 (A)They rejected His statutes and ^(B)His covenant which He made with their fathers, and His warnings which He ^[a]gave them. And ^(C)they followed ^[b]idols and ^(D)became empty, and followed the nations that surrounded them, about which the ^(E)Lord had commanded them not to do as they did. ¹⁶ And they abandoned all the commandments of the Lord their God and made for themselves cast metal images: ^(F)two calves. And they ^(G)made an ^[c]Asherah, and ^(H)worshiped all the heavenly ^[d]lights, and ^(I)served Baal. ¹⁷ Then ^(J)they made their sons and their daughters pass through the fire, and they ^(K)practiced divination and interpreting omens, and ^(L)gave themselves over to do evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking Him.

⁶ and ^(A)do not follow other gods to ^[a]serve them and to ^[b]worship them, and do not provoke Me to anger with the work of your hands, then I will do you no harm.’ ⁷ Yet you have not listened to Me,” declares the Lord, “in order to ^(B)provoke Me to anger with the work of your hands to your own harm.

^3 (A)because of their wickedness which they committed to ^(B)provoke Me to anger by continuing to ^(C)burn ^[a]sacrifices and to ^(D)serve other gods whom they had not known, neither they, you, nor your fathers.

^21 (A)You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the table of the Lord and ^(B)the table of demons. ²² Or do we ^(C)provoke the Lord to jealousy? We are not ^(D)stronger than He, are we?
