17 (A) One day everything you and your ancestors have stored up will be taken to Babylonia. The Lord has promised that nothing will be left. 18 (B) Some of your own sons will be taken to Babylonia, where they will be disgraced and made to serve in the king's palace.

19 Hezekiah thought, “At least our nation will be at peace for a while.” So he told Isaiah, “The message you brought me from the Lord is good.”

17 The time will surely come when everything in your palace, and all that your predecessors have stored up until this day, will be carried off to Babylon.(A) Nothing will be left, says the Lord. 18 And some of your descendants,(B) your own flesh and blood who will be born to you, will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.”(C)

19 “The word of the Lord you have spoken is good,” Hezekiah replied. For he thought, “Will there not be peace and security in my lifetime?”
