The Widow’s Oil

4 Now a woman of the wives of ^(A)the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord; and ^(B)the creditor has come to take my two children to be his slaves.”

⁷ So she came and told ^(A)the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt, and you and your sons can live on the rest.”

¹² One of his servants said, “No, my lord, the king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom.”
