⁷ You are to strike down the house of your master Ahab so that I may avenge the blood shed by the hand of Jezebel—the blood of my servants the prophets and of all the servants of the Lord.^(A)

¹³ Still, the Lord warned^(A) Israel and Judah through every prophet and every seer, saying, “Turn from your evil ways and keep my commands and statutes according to the whole law I commanded your ancestors and sent to you through my servants the prophets.”^(B)

⁵ and by listening to the words of my servants the prophets^(A)—whom I have been sending to you time and time again,^[a](B) though you did not listen—

¹⁹ I will do this because they have not listened to my words”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“the words that I sent to them with my servants the prophets time and time again.^[a](A) And you too have not listened.” This is the Lord’s declaration.

¹⁵ Time and time again^[a] I have sent you all my servants the prophets, proclaiming, “Turn, each one from his evil way,^(A) and correct your actions. Stop following other gods to serve them.^(B) Live in the land that I gave you and your ancestors.” But you did not pay attention or obey me.^(C)
