14 Seeing I know that the time is at hand that I must lay down this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath (A)showed me.
15 (B)I will endeavor therefore always, that ye also may be able to have remembrance of these things after my departing.
16 (C)[a]For we followed not deceivable fables, when we opened unto you the power, and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but with our eyes we saw his majesty:

14 because I know that I will soon put it aside,(A) as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.(B) 15 And I will make every effort to see that after my departure(C) you will always be able to remember these things.
16 For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power,(D) but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.(E)
