17 For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, a voice came to Him from the Majestic Glory:
18 And we heard this voice when it came from heaven while we were with Him on the holy mountain.(B) 19 So we have the prophetic word strongly confirmed. You will do well to pay attention to it, as to a lamp shining in a dismal place,(C) until the day dawns(D) and the morning star(E) rises in your hearts.

17 He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”[a](A) 18 We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with him on the sacred mountain.(B)
19 We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable,(C) and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light(D) shining in a dark place, until the day dawns(E) and the morning star(F) rises in your hearts.(G)
