Christ’s Glory and the Prophetic Word

¹⁶ For we have not followed cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty. ¹⁷ For He received honor and glory from God the Father when a voice came to Him from the majestic glory, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”^{[a] 18} And we ourselves heard this voice, which came from heaven, when we were with Him on the holy mountain.
