2 And many will follow their licentiousness, and because of them the way of truth will be reviled. 3 And in their greed they will exploit you with false words; from of old their condemnation has not been idle, and their destruction has not been asleep.
4 For if God did not spare the angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell[a] and committed them to pits of nether gloom to be kept until the judgment;

2 Many will follow their depraved conduct(A) and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 3 In their greed(B) these teachers will exploit you(C) with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.
4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned,(D) but sent them to hell,[a] putting them in chains of darkness[b] to be held for judgment;(E)
