2 to remember the words having been spoken-beforehand by the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior from your apostles, 3 knowing this first— that mockers will come with mocking in the last days, proceeding in accordance with their own desires, 4 and saying “Where is the promise[a] of His coming? For from which day the fathers[b] fell-asleep, everything is continuing in-this-manner[c] from the beginning of creation”.

2 I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets(A) and the command given by our Lord and Savior through your apostles.(B)
3 Above all, you must understand that in the last days(C) scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.(D) 4 They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised?(E) Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.”(F)
