2 To call to remembrance the words, which were told before of the holy Prophets, and also the commandment of us the Apostles of the Lord and Savior.
3 (A)[a]This first understand, that there shall come in the last days, [b]mockers, which will walk after their lusts,
4 [c]And say, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the Fathers died, all things continue alike from the beginning of the creation.

2 I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets(A) and the command given by our Lord and Savior through your apostles.(B)
3 Above all, you must understand that in the last days(C) scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.(D) 4 They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised?(E) Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.”(F)
