2 Samuel 12:12-14
International Standard Version
12 “‘What you did in secret I’m going to do right in front of all Israel and in broad daylight as well!’”
13 At this point, David told Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.”
Nathan responded to David, “There’s one other thing: the Lord has forgiven your sin.[a] You won’t die. 14 Nevertheless, because you have despised the Lord’s enemies with utter contempt,[b] the son born to you will most certainly die.”

New International Version
12 You did it in secret,(A) but I will do this thing in broad daylight(B) before all Israel.’”
13 Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned(C) against the Lord.”
Nathan replied, “The Lord has taken away(D) your sin.(E) You are not going to die.(F) 14 But because by doing this you have shown utter contempt for[a] the Lord,(G) the son born to you will die.”
