21 When King David heard of all these things, he was very angry.[a] 22 But Absalom spoke to Amnon (A)neither good nor bad, for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had violated his sister Tamar.

23 After two full years Absalom had (B)sheep shearers at Baal-hazor, which is near Ephraim, and Absalom invited all the king's sons.

21 When King David heard all this, he was furious.(A) 22 And Absalom never said a word to Amnon, either good or bad;(B) he hated(C) Amnon because he had disgraced his sister Tamar.

23 Two years later, when Absalom’s sheepshearers(D) were at Baal Hazor near the border of Ephraim, he invited all the king’s sons to come there.
