7 Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go now to thy brother Amnon’s house, and dress him meat.
8 ¶ So Tamar went to her brother Amnon’s house, and he lay down: and she took [a]flour, and knead it, and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes.
9 And she took a pan, and [b]poured them out before him, but he would not eat. Then Amnon said, Cause ye every man to go out from [c]me: so every man went out from him.

New International Version
7 David sent word to Tamar at the palace: “Go to the house of your brother Amnon and prepare some food for him.” 8 So Tamar went to the house of her brother Amnon, who was lying down. She took some dough, kneaded it, made the bread in his sight and baked it. 9 Then she took the pan and served him the bread, but he refused to eat.
“Send everyone out of here,”(A) Amnon said. So everyone left him.
