³Then Absalom would say to him, “Look, your claims are valid and proper, but there is no representative of the king to hear you.”^(A)

³And Absalom said unto him, See, thy matters are good and right; but there is no man deputed of the king to hear thee.

³Then Absalom would say to him, “Look, your ^[a]case is good and right; but there is no ^[b]deputy of the king to hear you.”

²⁰The Lord detests those whose hearts are perverse,^(A)
but he delights^(B) in those whose ways are blameless.^(C)

²⁰They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the Lord: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.

²⁰Those who are of a perverse heart are an abomination to the Lord,
But the blameless in their ways are His delight.
