27 And he hath slandered thy servant unto my lord the king; but my lord the king is as an angel of God: do therefore what is good in thine eyes. 28 For all of my father’s house were but dead men before my lord the king: yet didst thou set thy servant among them that did eat at thine own table. My lord the king is like an angel(A) of God; so do whatever you wish. 28 All my grandfather’s descendants deserved nothing but death(B) from my lord the king, but you gave your servant a place among those who eat at your table.(C) So what right do I have to make any more appeals to the king?”

29 The king said to him, “Why say more? I order you and Ziba to divide the land.”
