⁹So David lived in the stronghold, and called it ^(A)the city of David. And David built all around from the ^[a]^(B)Millo and inward.

⁹David then took up residence in the fortress and called it the City of David. He built up the area around it, from the terraces^[a]^(A) inward.

²⁴As soon as ^(A)Pharaoh’s daughter came up from the city of David to her house which Solomon had built for her, ^(B)he then built the Millo.

²⁴After Pharaoh’s daughter^(A) had come up from the City of David to the palace Solomon had built for her, he constructed the terraces.^(B)
