2 Samuel 8:13-15
GOD’S WORD Translation
13 David made a name for himself by killing 18,000 Edomites [a] in the Dead Sea region as he returned ⌞to Jerusalem⌟. 14 He put troops everywhere in Edom, and all the Edomites were David’s subjects. Everywhere David went, the Lord gave him victories.
15 So David ruled all Israel. He did what was fair and right for all his people.

13 And David became famous(A) after he returned from striking down eighteen thousand Edomites[a] in the Valley of Salt.(B)
14 He put garrisons throughout Edom, and all the Edomites(C) became subject to David.(D) The Lord gave David victory(E) wherever he went.(F)
