11 I was appointed a messenger, apostle, and teacher of this good news. 12 This is also why I’m suffering the way I do, but I’m not ashamed. I know the one in whom I’ve placed my trust. I’m convinced that God is powerful enough to protect what he has placed in my trust until that day. 13 Hold on to the pattern of sound teaching that you heard from me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

11 And of this gospel(A) I was appointed(B) a herald and an apostle and a teacher.(C) 12 That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet this is no cause for shame,(D) because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard(E) what I have entrusted to him until that day.(F)
13 What you heard from me,(G) keep(H) as the pattern(I) of sound teaching,(J) with faith and love in Christ Jesus.(K)
