11 For the sake of this gospel[a] I was appointed to be a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher of the gentiles.[b] 12 That is why I suffer as I do. However, I am not ashamed, for I know the one in whom I have put my trust, and I’m convinced that he is able to protect what he has entrusted to me[c] until the day that he comes.[d] 13 Hold on to the pattern of healthy teachings that you have heard from me, along with the faith and love that are in the Messiah[e] Jesus.

12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
