¹⁴ He also brought ^(A)the bronze altar which was before the Lord, from the front of the ^[a]temple—from between the new altar and the house of the Lord—and put it on the north side of the new altar.

^4 (A)He also built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord had said, ^(B)“In Jerusalem I will put My name.”

⁵ And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the ^(A)two courts of the house of the Lord.

⁷ He even set a carved image of ^[a]Asherah that he had made, in the ^[b]house of which the Lord had said to David and to Solomon his son, ^(A)“In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever;

³ He ^(A)stretched out the form of a hand, and took me by a lock of my hair; and ^(B)the Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven, and ^(C)brought me in visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the north gate of the inner court, ^(D)where the seat of the image of jealousy was, which ^(E)provokes^[a] to jealousy.

³⁹ For after they had slain their children for their idols, on the same day they came into My sanctuary to profane it; and indeed ^(A)thus they have done in the midst of My house.

^7 (A)When you brought in ^(B)foreigners, ^(C)uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in My sanctuary to defile it—My house—and when you offered ^(D)My food, ^(E)the fat and the blood, then they broke My covenant because of all your abominations.
