¹⁵ And they ^(A)rejected His statutes ^(B)and His covenant that He had made with their fathers, and His testimonies which He had testified against them; they followed ^(C)idols, ^(D)became idolaters, and went after the nations who were all around them, concerning whom the Lord had charged them that they should ^(E)not do like them.

¹⁰ They have turned back to ^(A)the iniquities of their forefathers who refused to hear My words, and they have gone after other gods to serve them; the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken My covenant which I made with their fathers.”

³ And He said to me: “Son of man, I am sending you to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that has ^(A)rebelled against Me; ^(B)they and their fathers have transgressed against Me to this very day.

⁴⁷ You did not walk in their ways nor act according to their abominations; but, as if that were too little, ^(A)you became more corrupt than they in all your ways.

⁴⁸ “As I live,” says the Lord God, “neither ^(B)your sister Sodom nor her daughters have done as you and your daughters have done. ⁴⁹ Look, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She and her daughter had pride, ^(C)fullness of food, and abundance of idleness; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. ⁵⁰ And they were haughty and ^(D)committed abomination before Me; therefore ^(E)I took them away as ^[a]I saw fit.

⁵¹ “Samaria did not commit ^(F)half of your sins; but you have multiplied your abominations more than they, and ^(G)have justified your sisters by all the abominations which you have done.

¹¹ “But they refused to heed, ^(A)shrugged^[a] their shoulders, and ^(B)stopped^[b] their ears so that they could not hear.
