¹¹ And Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon came to the city, while his servants were besieging it. ¹² Then ^(A)Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, his mother, his servants, his commanders, and his officials. And ^(B)the king of Babylon took him prisoner in the eighth year of his reign.

¹⁵ So ^(A)he led Jehoiachin into exile to Babylon; also the king’s mother, the king’s wives, and his officials and the leading men of the land, he led into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon.

² (On the fifth of the month ^[a]in the ^(A)fifth year of King Jehoiachin’s exile,

^3 [a]saying, ‘This is what the Lord ^[b]God says: “A great ^[c](A)eagle with ^(B)great wings, long pinions, and a full plumage of many colors came to ^[d](C)Lebanon and took away the top of the ^[e]cedar.
