^15 [a]At this time Peter stood up among ^(A)the brothers and sisters (a group of about 120 ^[b]people was there together), and said,

^13 (A)I do not want you to be unaware, ^(B)brothers and sisters, that often I ^(C)have planned to come to you (and have been prevented so far) so that I may obtain some ^(D)fruit among you also just as among the rest of the Gentiles.

Intent of the Law

^15 (A)Brothers and sisters, ^(B)I speak ^[a]in terms of human relations: ^(C)even though it is only a man’s ^[b]covenant, yet when it has been ratified, no one sets it aside or adds ^[c]conditions to it.

¹² I beg of you, ^(A)brothers and sisters, ^(B)become as I am, for I also have become as you are. You have done me no wrong;

²⁸ And you, brothers and sisters, ^(A)like Isaac, are ^(B)children of promise.
