Acts 1:3-5

3 For 40 days after Jesus had suffered and died, he proved in many ways that he had been raised from death. He appeared to his apostles and spoke to them about God's kingdom. 4 (A) While he was still with them, he said:
Don't leave Jerusalem yet. Wait here for the Father to give you the Holy Spirit, just as I told you he has promised to do. 5 (B) John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.

3 After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them(A) over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.(B) 4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait(C) for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about.(D) 5 For John baptized with[a] water,(E) but in a few days you will be baptized with[b] the Holy Spirit.”(F)
