³⁹“We are witnesses^(A) of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a cross,^(B)

³⁹And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:

²⁹When they had carried out all that was written about him,^(A) they took him down from the cross^(B) and laid him in a tomb.^(C)

²⁹And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.

¹³Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law^(A) by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”^[a]^(B)
