⁴⁴While Peter was still speaking these words, ^(A)the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word.

²and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit^(A) when^[a] you believed?”

They answered, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

²he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?”

So they said to him, ^(A)“We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.”
