46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
47 [a]Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the holy Ghost, as well as we?
48 So he commanded them to be baptized in the Name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

New International Version
46 For they heard them speaking in tongues[a](A) and praising God.
Then Peter said, 47 “Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water.(B) They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.”(C) 48 So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.(D) Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.
