25 And as John (A)was fulfilling his course, (B)he kept saying, ‘What do you suppose that I am? I am not He. But behold, one is coming after me of whom I am not worthy to untie the sandals of His feet.’
26 “Brothers, sons of Abraham’s family, and those among you who fear God, to us the word of (C)this salvation was sent. 27 For those who live in Jerusalem, and their (D)rulers, (E)recognizing neither Him nor the [a]utterances of (F)the prophets which are (G)read every Sabbath, fulfilled them by condemning Him.
