²⁷ For those who live in Jerusalem and their rulers, because ^(A)they did not recognize him nor understand ^(B)the utterances of the prophets, which are read every Sabbath, ^(C)fulfilled them by condemning him.

^9 (A)“I myself was convinced that I ought to do many things in opposing the name of ^(B)Jesus of Nazareth.

³⁴ And Jesus said, “Father, ^(A)forgive them, ^(B)for they know not what they do.”^[a] And they cast lots ^(C)to divide his garments.

³ And they will do these things ^(A)because they have not known the Father, nor me.

⁸ None of ^(A)the rulers of this age understood this, for ^(B)if they had, they would not have crucified ^(C)the Lord of glory.
