Acts 13:39-41

³⁹But everyone who has faith in Jesus is set free. ⁴⁰Make sure what the prophets have said doesn't happen to you. They said,

⁴¹^(A) “Look, you people
    who make fun of God!
Be amazed
    and disappear.
I will do something today
    that you won't believe,
even if someone
    tells you about it!”

³⁹Through him everyone who believes^(A) is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.^(B) ⁴⁰Take care that what the prophets have said does not happen to you:

⁴¹“‘Look, you scoffers,
    wonder and perish,
for I am going to do something in your days
    that you would never believe,
    even if someone told you.’^[a]”^(C)
