8 But the magician Elymas[a] (for so his name is translated) was opposing them, seeking to turn away the proconsul from the faith. 9 But Saul (the one also called Paul), having been filled with the Holy Spirit, having looked-intently at him, 10 said “O son of the devil full of all deceit and all villainy[b], enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting[c] the straight ways of the Lord?

8 But Elymas the sorcerer(A) (for that is what his name means) opposed them and tried to turn the proconsul(B) from the faith.(C) 9 Then Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit,(D) looked straight at Elymas and said, 10 “You are a child of the devil(E) and an enemy of everything that is right! You are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery. Will you never stop perverting the right ways of the Lord?(F)
