24 who, having received such a command, threw them into the inner prison and secured their feet to the wood[a].
After an Earthquake Opens The Jail, The Jailer Believes And Is Baptized
25 And about midnight Paul and Silas were singing-praise-to God while praying. And the prisoners were listening-to[b] them. 26 And suddenly a great earthquake took place, so that the foundations of the jailhouse were shaken. And at-once all the doors were opened, and the bonds[c] of everyone were unfastened[d].

24 When he received these orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks.(A)
25 About midnight(B) Paul and Silas(C) were praying and singing hymns(D) to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken.(E) At once all the prison doors flew open,(F) and everyone’s chains came loose.(G)
