4 (A)And some of them were persuaded and joined (B)Paul and Silas, [a]along with a great multitude of the (C)God-fearing (D)Greeks and not a few of the (E)leading women. 5 But (F)the Jews, becoming jealous, taking along some wicked men from the marketplace, and forming a mob, set the city in an uproar. And attacking the house of (G)Jason, they were seeking to bring them out to the assembly. 6 And when they did not find them, they began (H)dragging Jason and some brothers before the city authorities, shouting, “These men who have upset [b](I)the world have come here also;

4 Some of the Jews were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas,(A) as did a large number of God-fearing Greeks and quite a few prominent women.
5 But other Jews were jealous; so they rounded up some bad characters from the marketplace, formed a mob and started a riot in the city.(B) They rushed to Jason’s(C) house in search of Paul and Silas in order to bring them out to the crowd.[a] 6 But when they did not find them, they dragged(D) Jason and some other believers(E) before the city officials, shouting: “These men who have caused trouble all over the world(F) have now come here,(G)
