Acts 2:23-25

23 Jesus was handed over to sinful men. God knew this and planned for it to happen. You had sinful men take Him and nail Him to a cross. 24 But God raised Him up. He allowed Him to be set free from the pain of death. Death could not hold its power over Him.

23 This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge;(A) and you, with the help of wicked men,[a] put him to death by nailing him to the cross.(B) 24 But God raised him from the dead,(C) freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.(D) 25 David said about him:
“‘I saw the Lord always before me.
Because he is at my right hand,
I will not be shaken.
