³⁹ For the promise is to you and ^(A)to your children, and ^(B)to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

³² And we declare to you glad tidings—^(A)that promise which was made to the fathers.

¹² that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
