22 “And now I am going to Jerusalem, drawn there irresistibly by the Holy Spirit,[a] not knowing what awaits me, 23 except that the Holy Spirit has told me in city after city that jail and suffering lie ahead. 24 But life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about God’s mighty kindness and love.

22 “And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem,(A) not knowing what will happen to me there. 23 I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me(B) that prison and hardships are facing me.(C) 24 However, I consider my life worth nothing to me;(D) my only aim is to finish the race(E) and complete the task(F) the Lord Jesus has given me(G)—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.(H)
