Acts 26:21-23
Good News Translation
21 It was for this reason that these Jews seized me while I was in the Temple, and they tried to kill me. 22 But to this very day I have been helped by God, and so I stand here giving my witness to all, to small and great alike. What I say is the very same thing which the prophets and Moses said was going to happen: 23 (A)that the Messiah must suffer and be the first one to rise from death, to announce the light of salvation to the Jews and to the Gentiles.”

New International Version
21 That is why some Jews seized me(A) in the temple courts and tried to kill me.(B) 22 But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen(C)— 23 that the Messiah would suffer(D) and, as the first to rise from the dead,(E) would bring the message of light to his own people and to the Gentiles.”(F)
