Imprisonment and Release

¹⁷ But the high priest rose up, along with all his associates (that is ^(A)the sect of ^(B)the Sadducees), and they were filled with jealousy.

⁵ For we have found this man a real pest and a fellow who stirs up dissension among all the Jews throughout ^[a]the world, and a ringleader of the ^(A)sect of the Nazarenes.

¹⁴ But this I admit to you, that according to ^(A)the Way which they call a ^(B)sect I do serve ^[a](C)the God of our fathers, ^(D)believing everything that is in accordance with the Law and that is written in the Prophets;

⁵ since they have known about me for a long time, if they are willing to testify, that I lived as a ^(A)Pharisee ^(B)according to the strictest ^(C)sect of our religion.

²² But we desire to hear from you what ^[a]your views are; for concerning this ^(A)sect, it is known to us that ^(B)it is spoken against everywhere.”
