Acts 6:13-15

¹³They put forward ^(A)false witnesses who said, “This man does not stop ^[a]speaking against this ^(B)holy place and the Law; ¹⁴for we have heard him say that ^(C)this Nazarene, Jesus, will destroy this place and change ^(D)the customs which Moses handed down to us.” ¹⁵And all who were sitting in the ^[b]^(E)Council stared at him, and they saw his face, which was like the face of an angel.

¹³They produced false witnesses,^(A) who testified, “This fellow never stops speaking against this holy place^(B) and against the law. ¹⁴For we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place^(C) and change the customs Moses handed down to us.”^(D)

¹⁵All who were sitting in the Sanhedrin^(E) looked intently at Stephen, and they saw that his face was like the face of an angel.
