Acts 7:3-5
American Standard Version
3 and said unto him, Get thee out of thy land, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall show thee. 4 Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Haran: and from thence, when his father was dead, God removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell: 5 and he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: and he promised that he would give it to him in possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.

New International Version
3 ‘Leave your country and your people,’ God said, ‘and go to the land I will show you.’[a](A)
4 “So he left the land of the Chaldeans and settled in Harran. After the death of his father, God sent him to this land where you are now living.(B) 5 He gave him no inheritance here,(C) not even enough ground to set his foot on. But God promised him that he and his descendants after him would possess the land,(D) even though at that time Abraham had no child.
